As a safety feature in Motiva^® implants, the battery-free, passive Radiofrequency Identification Device (RFID) stores the implant’s electronic serial number (ESN) and other important implant information (such as manufacturing and surgery details), which can be instantly retrieved through a hand-held reader.

Zen^® does not contain any ferromagnetic components and is therefore designated as MR Conditional.
